Ply House
In 1999, after graduating with my professional degree, my father asked for a very small house to be designed on a site adjacent to his existing house in Adelaide Australia. The site
was next to a creek and contained a persimmon tree that turned bright red in the fall. The house was divided into working, living and sleeping spaces that were raised to provide space for the tree
to be maintained while also enabling a parking space and safety from the creek that would occasionally flood. The house was never completed but remains as a favorite small project.
